Question 1

What is CRATE RAT?

Accepted Answer

CRATE RAT is a desktop library manager for Serato DJs, producers, and music collectors. It reads your Serato library and crates across every connected drive, lets you manage crates, finds duplicate and broken files, streams tracks from your own Home Cloud Kit, and includes an AI assistant plus a downloader for media you're authorized to save. It's the first product in a planned $CRATE ecosystem for DJs and music enthusiasts.

Question 2

Does CRATE RAT work with my Serato library?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CRATE RAT reads your Serato library and crate files directly, including crates and smart crates on external drives. It shows every track with its BPM, key, length, format, and source drive, flags files Serato marks as missing, and lists tracks that aren't in any crate. You can manage your crates from inside CRATE RAT.

Question 3

What does Cleanup do?

Accepted Answer

Cleanup scans your library for duplicate tracks and broken or missing files, so you can clear out dead weight before it causes problems in a set.

Question 4

What is Cloud Drive?

Accepted Answer

Cloud Drive connects CRATE RAT to your Home Cloud Kit, a self-hosted personal cloud that runs on a Mac or PC you own. Once connected, you can stream and use tracks stored on that remote machine without paying for a third-party cloud service.

Question 5

What can the AI assistant do?

Accepted Answer

The assistant helps you organize your library and crates, and it's plugged into charts and new releases so you can see what's trending alongside what's already in your library.

Question 6

Can CRATE RAT back up or sync my library?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. A Sync feature for backups and keeping folders in sync across drives is in development and will ship in a future update.

Question 7

What is $CRATE?

Accepted Answer

$CRATE (CRATE RAT) is the utility token of the CRATE RAT software ecosystem, used to pay for software licenses and, over time, other CRATE RAT tools.

Question 8

What are the official $CRATE contract and liquidity pool addresses?

Accepted Answer

The official $CRATE mint (contract) address on Solana Mainnet is 9jF9Wf4CUmSxATBTkoxrP5Q7Gcj9BPmkJvP4chxRmZNB. The official SOL/$CRATE liquidity pool on Raydium is GfxcMdrZoAoMuEwiC6bwbww5Svy877xjjEk9SgwQcEpU, with LP token mint DrqacZX7dAehLZWZg1YkVvtsWKuWH8w2StgYwLdXYkfm. Any token or pool using a different address is not CRATE RAT. Always check the full address on Solana Explorer before you trade.

Question 9

Does $CRATE have guaranteed monetary value?

Accepted Answer

No. $CRATE on Solana Mainnet is a real digital asset acquired through a real transaction, but no purchase, reward, or burn guarantees value, liquidity, or price stability. Digital assets can be volatile and may lose value.

Question 10

Why does CRATE RAT accept SOL?

Accepted Answer

$CRATE launched with no trading liquidity, so CRATE RAT accepts SOL during the liquidity-building phase. Eligible SOL receipts fund the liquidity reserve that backs the live SOL/$CRATE pool. You can also pay with $CRATE directly.

Question 11

Does every SOL payment go straight into the liquidity pool?

Accepted Answer

No. The liquidity share of each SOL payment goes to the liquidity reserve first. It only counts as pool liquidity once it's paired with $CRATE and deposited on-chain in a verified transaction. The transparency dashboard shows reserved SOL and deployed liquidity separately.

Question 12

How does the burn work?

Accepted Answer

2% of each $CRATE payment is permanently burned on-chain, and the rest goes to the project treasury. The rate can only be set between 0% and 25%, and the exact percentage and amounts are shown before your wallet signs.

Question 13

What happens to SOL license revenue?

Accepted Answer

Eligible net SOL receipts are split: 30% to the $CRATE liquidity reserve, 30% to marketing and rewards, and 40% to development and operations. These are the live checkout settings, and the exact split is shown before you pay.

Question 14

How is the USD software price converted into SOL?

Accepted Answer

The server reads the product's USD catalog price, obtains a current SOL/USD reference from an approved source, and calculates the exact SOL required using decimal-safe arithmetic — never JavaScript floating point. The quote (price, source, and expiration) is shown before you pay and is only valid for a short window.

Question 15

How much promotional $CRATE does a qualifying buyer receive?

Accepted Answer

25,000 $CRATE per qualifying SOL buyer, up to a campaign cap of 200,000,000 $CRATE (a maximum of 8,000 rewarded buyers at these values). One reward per verified customer and wallet, while the allocation lasts.

Question 16

Where do promotional tokens come from?

Accepted Answer

Exclusively from the existing Marketing and Rewards allocation, paid out of the public reward wallet 5JCG9LC1JstxUzKhLFtsUfKqgECs6QvQFi2kpbGqAYiw. No additional tokens are ever minted to fund buyer rewards. The transparency dashboard above shows how much of the allocation remains.

Question 17

What ends the liquidity-building phase?

Accepted Answer

The phase ends when an objective condition is met: a target amount of net SOL allocated, a target amount of verified pool liquidity, or a scheduled date. That condition hasn't been announced yet. It will be published on this page, with notice, before SOL checkout ends.

Question 18

What happens after CRATE RAT transitions to $CRATE-only payments?

Accepted Answer

After a published notice period (planned at 90 days), new promotional reward commitments stop, pending rewards are completed, and checkout accepts $CRATE only going forward.

Question 19

Which future DJ and music tools will use $CRATE?

Accepted Answer

CRATE RAT already covers library management, crate organization, cleanup, cloud streaming, an AI assistant, and authorized downloading, with library Sync on the way. Planned future utilities include clean-edit workflows and audio preparation tools, all intended to require $CRATE for payment without running a new SOL liquidity campaign for each one.

Question 20

Where does the $CRATE price come from?

Accepted Answer

The market sets it, through trading in the public SOL/$CRATE liquidity pool. CRATE RAT does not set, support, or guarantee the price, and nothing on this page is a price prediction.

Question 21

Is CRATE RAT live on mainnet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. $CRATE, its public liquidity pool, license checkout, and the buyer reward campaign are all live on Solana Mainnet with real SOL and real $CRATE. The Liquidity-building campaign status panel above shows the current phase.

Question 22

Does the software allow copyrighted music to be downloaded?

Accepted Answer

CRATE RAT's downloader may only be used to download or convert media you own, created, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally authorized to access. It is not marketed as a tool for bypassing platform protections or copyright restrictions, and token ownership does not grant any copyright rights.

Question 23

Does buying software guarantee the token will gain value?

Accepted Answer

No. Purchasing a license or receiving a promotional token reward never guarantees token value, liquidity, profit, or market performance. Digital assets can be volatile and may lose value.

Question 24

How can users verify transactions?

Accepted Answer

Every transaction (payments, burns, and reward transfers) shows a transaction signature and a Solana Explorer link. The mint, the liquidity pool, and every allocation wallet are public on-chain addresses anyone can check. $CRATE is never given out from a faucet.
